Ben Daley - SWU.FM / RINSE FM / Room 2 Ben began his dance music collection in 1989 eventually buying his first turntables in 1993 playing rave, hardcore & early jungle. Before he was old enough to get in the clubs, Ben would spend his weekends in 5HQ Leicester buying records, then making mixtapes to sell at school the following week.
It was in 1996 Ben discovered the House & Garage sound and was influenced by the sounds of Karl Tuff Enuff Brown, Hermit & Jason Kaye to name a few. Moving to Bristol a year later, he ended up playing almost every night to packed clubs and bars pioneering the early UKG/2step sound. This led to various pirate and community radio shows (PassionFM, Powerjam, KuteFM), with guest mixes on BBC's 1Xtra and regular residencies in Bristol & London.
Today, his sets blend afro, latin, disco, and house, always rooted in feel-good, dancefloor-driven energy. On SWU, he showcases everything from upfront tracks to rare gems from his 30+ year collection.
